Slate
Some of the earliest forms of art were done on stone. We’re not saying that some future Indiana Jones will embark on an adventure of epic proportions to find the origin story of a slate art piece from RustBelt Origins. We are sure your custom piece will bring you or the recipient joy for many years. As a material, slate can evoke a sleek modern feel, a rustic esthetic or even a paleolithic mood. They can also be used for farmhouse type signs and industrial wall décor. Our slate pieces are usually done on rectangles, though other shapes may be available. Regardless of the shape, your piece will look great on a tripod or hung on a wall.
Etched Glass
Glass isn’t just for windows. RustBelt Origins can transform a piece of glass into a distinctive piece to occupy a special place in your home. Canvas
Engraved canvases are one of our most popular items. I started by doing plain black and white images engraved on canvases and thought why not level up. Through trial and error, I stumbled on a process of creating almost a watercolor effect. Each canvas is hand-painted so each one is an individual work of art. Below are some samples of the canvas collections I’ve done. You may recognize some of these places. They each are from some of my favorite cities.
